You should have:
Educational qualifications : MSc, ME/Mtech, BE/BTech, MCA, PGDCA (NCST, CDAC)Experience: Minimum 2 years.

DBA Experience:
· 4 to 8 years of DBA experience
· Excellent communication skills, Ready to work in shifts
· Supporting production/development databases 24/7
· Back-up/recovery/DR-BCP/Installation
· Performance tuning (SQL&DB level), Design and Trouble shooting
Specific DBA Skills: Mainframe (DB2/IMS)
· Day to Day DBA support, tablespace, indexspace mgmt, backup & recovery.
· Experience in database monitoring tools like OMEGAMON, Insight, SPUFI,QMF, DB2PLATINUM, BMC Patrol, Performance Analyzer
Specific Relational Databases(UDB, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server):
· Oracle 9i/10g, TOAD, OEM, BMC Patrol, RAC/DG/Clustering, upgrades, Replication
· Sybase 12.x, Replication 12.x, Sybase central, replication manager for Sybase DBA
· SQL Server 7/2Kx, SQL Server Enterprise manager, clustering, replication, log shipping, DTS for SQL Server DBA
· DB2 UDB V8.x, Control center, DB2 relational connect, DB2Move, Look, replication, Federated systems for UDB DBA
